New York Fashion Week is around the corner, and another exciting fashion season is about to start.
The Big Apple is ready to welcome - as always - the most talented, innovative, and provocative talents of the beauty and fashion industry with a rich calendar of runway shows, special events and parties.
This year a new group of creatives with long-time experience will enrich the roster of official producers of New York Fashion Week: the International Beauty and Fashion Association (IBFA), the non-profit organization that has the mission to provide hairstylists, makeup artists, and visual creators a platform where they can learn, improve, and find real job opportunities in the beauty and fashion sectors.
Arailym Kaldarbek and Aisha Suramayeva, co-founders of IBFA and respectively President and Vice-President, are proud to introduce this season the newest addition to the board of the organization, Joseph Ralph Fraia, in the role of PR and Strategic Growth Director
Arailym Kaldarbek is an award-winning makeup artist, creative director, and architectural visionary whose journey in art and architecture began at 14. Her career bridges design and beauty, with international recognition through work with Miss Universe contestants, top designers, and global fashion weeks in New York, Miami, and beyond. As the President of IBFA, she champions emerging talent. For the official NYFW closing show, Arailym is the main creative visionary shaping its artistry and unforgettable impact.
Aisha Suramayeva is a professional makeup artist, Co-Founder of International Beauty Fashion Association (IBFA), Lead Fashion Week Beauty Expert with over 5 years of experience in the fashion and beauty industry. She is also a member of The Powder Group (TPG), IAPO International Association of Professional Makeup Artists (IAPO). Lead Makeup Artist at different fashion shows: NYFW, Miss Universe, Digital Fashion Week, Orlando International Fashion Week, Fashion 4 Ukraine, etc. As Vice President of IBFA and lead MUA at Fashion Weeks, she drives creative vision, manage and mentor teams, and elevate the association’s global presence through artistry and leadership.
Joseph Ralph Fraia is a New York visionary creative director, project manager and an acclaimed professional photo-videographer with 15+ years of experience in the beauty and fashion industry. His career boasts dozens of shows and events (in New York, Miami, and Milan), international publications, and fashion editorials. Within IBFA - as PR and Strategic Growth Director - he is the expert who has the goal to secure the broadest awareness about the organization and the effective recruitment of members and donors.
IBFA is ready this season to shine and bring its contribution to a number of prestigious shows and events, including the very NYFW Closing Show at the Penthouse in Manhattan, where several top designers, celebrities, and influencers will grace the red carpet.
The Fashion Week of this September 2025 is also the opportunity for IBFA to break the news of a formidable addition to the roster of spokesperson and testimonials of the organization: for the first time ever, it is publicly announced worldwide that Guinness World Record holder, Mary Yongai, is IBFA's Honorary Global Ambassador.
A makeup artist from Sierra Leone, Mary reached worldwide fame when she broke a 19-year-old world record for the most cosmetic makeovers in 24 hours by one artist. At 26 years old, she completed a total of 111 makeovers. Not only did she exceed her own personal target of 100, but she smashed the previous world record of 96, which was set by Indonesia’s Martha Tilaar in 2005.
IBFA will actively collaborate with top-of-the-line shows and events throughout the intense calendar of the NYFW, providing highly skilled beauty teams of hairstylist and makeup artists and professional photographers, videographers and content creators. Right at the kick-off of the Fashion Week on September 11, IBFA’s executives will attend the classic NYFW Mixer, “the” networking event for all the top professionals in the industry.
September 13 and 14, Arailym, Aisha, and Joseph will bring their crew of beauty makeovers and creatives at the iconic Art Hearts Fashion, that takes place at the breathtaking space of the Angel Orensanz Foundation.
And this year IBFA is absolutely thrilled to announce that the organization is co-producer - with Fashion Week United - of the Closing Show of NYFW SS26. An extraordinary achievement for this ambitious non-profit, that aims at being a top-player in the super-competitive world of beauty and cosmetics, while providing opportunities for both young upcoming and established professional hairstylist and makeup artists.
